Natural Disaster Assistance
Natural disasters often occur when we least expect them. Should you be affected by floods, cyclones, storms or bushfires, relief is at hand from QRAA.
What assistance is available?
A low interest loan up to $250,000 can assist you to re-establish your small business by covering costs such as:
- repairing or replacing damaged plant and equipment
- repairing or replacing buildings
- supplying stock for up to one month to replace lost stock and maintain liquidity of the business
- meeting carry-on requirements including:
- restoring or re-establishing areas affected by the disaster event
- sustenance
- essential property operations
- paying rent and rates

If your enterprise has suffered extreme damage as a result of the Queensland Floods (Nov 2010 - Jan 2011) or Tropical Cyclone Yasi, you may be eligible for a loan and grant package of up to $650,000 under the Exceptional Disaster Assistance Scheme |

Terms and conditions
Our programs are subject to terms and conditions that identify the required eligibility criteria for each loan. Please refer to the Guidelines for further information on your eligibility for this assistance.
Who is eligible to apply?
To be eligible for assistance, you must have received direct damage caused by the flooding in November 2010-January 2011, Tropical Cyclone Yasi or the monsoonal flooding between 28 February-March 2011, and be located in one of the following local government areas (current as at 08/02/2012):
